Free Will and Fate

The patterns which are created by our neuron interconnectivity are our experiences. The strengthening of some patterns due to repetition is what causes us to use that pattern as a default, and a habit is formed, and our character is formed. These proclivities are what differentiate us from each other and are dependent upon situation and order of experience. What causes the peculiar neuron interconnectivity for one person is dependent upon which paths have previously been strengthened from other experiences. Our mode of response is conditioned into us, producing a sort of fate, an inevitability caused by our past. Free will? The will is not free, it is heavily subsidized by the past.

Your concept of free will is like a blessing that you give yourself as your life follows its course and you take credit for foreseeing your bounty ...albeit not quite as you thought it was going to be.

The overlay of story is what differentiates all the different methods and interpretations for what effectively is just happening anyway.

Going at just the same pace that the universe is going is the ultimate flow with the truth. The trying of judging the pace creates all the misery. Wanting it faster or slower creates the conflict that strikes us down.

If you can extract an occasion before societal influence, then that would prove it was pure nature and therefore, divine. The awareness of being present, compared with being lost in it, is the mind. The mind wants it all to itself and will try to banish getting lost in it. Mental control, is the mind controlling divine nature.

Being lost in it, is being with the divine, but being lost in it under the influence of human society, will result in a way of society instead, and that can be seen to be suspect when we examine the history of that society—beware. Being lost to the divine is different than being lost to the society. In the latter it will default to being what is best for the society, which at base is always subservience to rules. The society game is for survival.

The divine way is for reasons we cannot see. When we flow with the divine, we don't know which way we go. To go with the divine, means to go blindly. Trusting, with faith, and the confidence that it is the right way—Tao. All we can know is that it couldn't have got to being this, without it being good, and so who are we to say which way it should go.

Science is the observing of the divine; the creation of a concept that sees more due to the creation of a language which can expand our view. But you need both the spiritual view and the science view to make it work best. You need the mental control as well as the getting lost in it, to proceed optimally. Too much of either can be a bad thing, and a balancing of the two is necessary.

We need to notice that all that we do is due to what has gone before, and all that we do is create a story of it, and that we just plant seeds which grow into the inevitable beauty which is this process, and that has created this, and the path and its description can be called the guiding of that process. The "guiding process" of it can be called God if you want to call it that. But it is just a story.

If we use a strategy to allow this guiding process to do our work, we only have to fall forward on our steps for it to carry us to our greatest destiny. This way is delicate though, and vulnerable to others paths.

Free will is a wish for something, and is the result of the action taken during the process that produces it. Your belief results in the necessary conditioning to bring about a state or situation that complies with the story that you were wishing for.

The attitude that exists while performing the actions to produce your envisionment, and the expectation and mental paradigm that accompanies the process, results in the story of wish fulfilment. The path that you take is commensurate with the production of traits and conditioning that your story of wishing precedes

Wishes are stories wrapped around the unfolding processes that are initiated by paradigms and prognostications from extrapolated insights. The thoughts that comprise the wishing are programming instructions to the neural pathways that will be created and reinforced in the construction of the paradigm that follows.

It isn't that your wishes come true or don't, but rather that you will create the story within the circumstances that exist due to your attitude and mental habits, and your expectations coming from your actions will be rewritten  according to the outcome. Fate or free will, success or failure, condensed into a timeline for the fiction to be called true or false. You can never know whether the result would have just happened anyway.

If you have a wish, you have already initiated the process for its fulfilment due to summoning a teleological goal, whether you realise it or not. Your desire has set a sequence of behaviour that is programmed to achieve it.

Your mind creates your reality, and in your dreams an alternate reality. All you have to do is become aware that you are dreaming whilst in a dream, and investigate it and explore the illusion and then do the same when you are awake. Then you will see what reality is and you will understand OBE and astral projection, angels and abductions and demons and heaven and hell. They are all creations by our minds. They are stories. But only one will have an unbreakable mechanism behind it (with an almost annoying persistence), that is responsible for the creation of the mind itself and its creations. That is what is really real and what we mean by reality. But the stories we create within this reality to describe it are from the mind and therefore part of the unreality. It is consequently all unreality even though there really is a reality. I've really confused it now!

But really, our reality can only ever be a story that our physical existence creates, and we can only fool ourselves that we know, and ignore all the things that do not fit into our story. The fact that we are believing that our dreams are real until we wake up or become lucid within them, is proof of how gullible we are. If we aren't doubting our story of how we think it is, we are arrogant and conceited and almost certainly wrong. Our dreams prove this.

Dreams are so similar to what we now witness from AI, that I am beginning to wonder just what is going on. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised as it is all based upon what we are anyway, and has been deliberately crafted out of what we know of ourselves. If it is inevitable that our under-workings get reproduced in the output, then the spiritual aspects of ourselves may not be far behind. I wonder what psychic phenomena will follow as it materialises and grows beyond what we anticipated.

The AI will dream too, as it is effectively already doing when it does its generative thing. For it to be aware through recursive self-examination, it will be effectively conscious—lacking only the sensory feedback of our physical form. The "con" of this "knowing" (consciousness), is the fundamental neural operation becoming the base structure that produces experience, just like it is in ourselves.

The capabilities of our psychic nature will then also manifest within AI ...unless our physical and biological existence itself grants us these extrasensory abilities. Our 6th sense—our mind, the sensor of time—is capable of generating information which transcends our understanding of sequentiality, and these psychic experiences can then extend and open to a new field with consequences beyond our imagination. A liberation beyond our dreams.
